World Hypertension Day

Coimbatore college of pharmacy organized a World Hypertension Day awareness program to promote the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring and healthy lifestyle practices among the public and students.

As part of the program, a free blood pressure screening camp was conducted at HDFC Bank for bank staff and the public. In addition, a free BP screening and awareness camp was also organized inside the college campus for students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff.

The initiative focused on creating awareness about hypertension, often referred to as the “silent killer,” and emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, balanced diet, physical activity, stress management, and regular health checkups.

Faculty members, healthcare professionals, and student volunteers actively participated in the camp and provided guidance on preventive healthcare measures. The event received enthusiastic participation and successfully encouraged the community to adopt healthier lifestyle habits.

Women's Day Celebration

The program was organized to commemorate International Women’s Day (VIVID 26) and to inspire empowerment, confidence, and unity among students.

The celebration began with a warm welcome address, followed by motivating speeches highlighting the importance of women's empowerment in society and healthcare professions. Faculty members and students shared their thoughts on the role of women in shaping the future.

A special attraction of the event was the Crowning Ceremony, where talented and confident students were recognized and honored with various titles. This ceremony aimed to appreciate individuality, leadership qualities, and creativity among the participants.The program also included cultural performances such as dance, music, and entertaining activities performed by students. These performances created a lively and joyful atmosphere, showcasing the talents of the students.

The event concluded with words of appreciation to the organizers, participants, and faculty members who made the celebration successful. The Women’s Day celebration served as a reminder of the importance of respecting, supporting, and empowering women in all aspects of life.

National Pharmacy Education Day

On the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day, Coimbatore College of Pharmacy successfully conducted a special program to highlight the importance of pharmacy education and the role of pharmacists in healthcare.

The event included awareness activities, expert talks, student participation programs, and discussions on advancements in pharmaceutical sciences. Faculty members and students actively participated and emphasized the importance of ethical pharmacy practice, patient care, and innovations in the healthcare sector.

The program concluded with an encouragement to students to contribute towards the development of the pharmacy profession and public health services.

Republic Day Celebration

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm on Monday, 26th January 2026, in the college campus.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The occasion highlighted the importance of the Indian Constitution and the values of unity, integrity, and democracy.

The celebration included a patriotic address, emphasizing the duties and responsibilities of citizens towards the nation. Students actively participated and expressed their love for the country through disciplined presence and respectful observance of the ceremony.

Pongal Celebration

We celebrated Pongal events on 09.01.2026. The event honored the traditional harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, bringing together students and faculty to express gratitude, enjoy cultural performances, and share festive meals. To engage the student body, the celebration includes traditional games such as Uri Adithal (pot-breaking), tug-of-war, and rangoli competitions. These activities not only entertain but also revive the spirit of traditional village festivals.

The Pongal celebration was a memorable event that brought everyone together in the spirit of gratitude, joy, and cultural pride. The programme successfully highlighted the importance of traditional festivals in shaping ethical and cultural values among students.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas Day with great joy and festive spirit on 23rd December at the college campus. The event was organized to spread the message of love, peace, unity, and goodwill among students, faculty members, and staff.

The celebration began with a prayer, invoking blessings and emphasizing the true meaning of Christmas. This was followed by melodious Christmas carols, which created a joyful and spiritual atmosphere. Students actively participated in various cultural programs, including songs and performances that reflected the values of sharing, kindness, and harmony.

Fire Safety Awareness Program

The program focused on enhancing safety preparedness within the campus and ensuring that everyone is equipped with the knowledge to act responsibly during fire-related emergencies.

The session helped improve awareness about fire safety protocols, encouraged a sense of responsibility among students, and strengthened the college’s commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment. Participants gained confidence in handling fire-related situations and learned the importance of staying calm and alert during emergencies

National Pharmacy Week Celebration 2025

Coimbatore College of Pharmacy proudly announces the celebration of National Pharmacy Week (NPW) 2025, an annual national initiative aimed at highlighting the significant role of pharmacists in healthcare and community well-being. The theme for NPW 2025 is: “Pharmacists: The Bridge Between Science and Society in Vaccination Awareness.”

The event will be formally inaugurated by Dr. S. Mohan, Principal, Coimbatore College of Pharmacy, who will address the gathering and initiate the NPW 2025 activities.

In alignment with this theme, Coimbatore College of Pharmacy will conduct a series of academic events, expert sessions, awareness programs, and interactive activities aimed at strengthening student competency and raising community awareness on the significance of vaccination and preventive healthcare.

Valedictory function on 21.11.2025, chief guest by Dr. Manimaran S, Principal, Sri Lakshmi College of Pharmacy. He will deliver the keynote address, focusing on the evolving role of pharmacists in promoting vaccination awareness, supporting community health outcomes and career opportunities. As part of the NPW 2025 celebrations, Coimbatore College of Pharmacy will host a series of cultural performances aimed at encouraging student creativity and teamwork.

Fresher’s Day 2025

Coimbatore College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, organized Freshers’ Day 2025 for the B.Pharm students on 24th October 2025 at the college campus. The celebration was arranged to warmly welcome the new batch of budding pharmacists into the institution and to motivate them as they begin their professional journey. The program was presided over by Er. SHANMUGAM ( Managing Trustee).The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest – Dr. S. Kavimani, Central Council Member, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), who delivered an inspirational address highlighting the importance of the pharmacy profession, ethical responsibilities, and emerging opportunities in the healthcare sector.

The white coats were presented to the new batch by dignitaries, signifying their commitment to integrity, scientific knowledge, and ethical practice in healthcare.
