World Hepatitis Day
World Hepatitis Day was celebrated on 28th July at Coimbatore College of Pharmacy to raise awareness about viral hepatitis and promote liver health. The program aimed to educate students and the public about the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of hepatitis
The event began with a welcome address, followed by an awareness lecture highlighting the causes, symptoms, modes of transmission, preventive measures, and the importance of hepatitis vaccination. Faculty members emphasized the significance of early screening and maintaining good hygiene to prevent the spread of the disease.
TPharmacy students actively participated in the celebration through presentations, health education activities. Informative pamphlets were distributed to increase public knowledge about hepatitis and its prevention.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, encouraging everyone to support the global effort to eliminate viral hepatitis and promote healthy lifestyles.
